Sufix performance braid or power pro

Featured Replies

Used 30lb power pro last year on my baitcaster... liked it but was thinking of trying the sufix performance braid...

Which one of the two wins your vote?

You can't go wrong with either of them.  IMO power pro is a little smoother and a little more quiet, so I use it a lot of the time.  However, I use the Suffix on my flip'n stick, idk why, but I just really love the Suffix 65 lb. when flip'n and pitch'n

My vote is for Power Pro.  Check out the thread below.

I use both but, I think I like the Sufix a bit better!

Suffix all the way. Just bought power pro on sale and to me it feels stiff, i could bend it and it would stay kinked. Was not impressed, suffix is nice and limp also strong. Also lasts a long time.

the new fireline braid blows both of them away.

I have some of the new Fire Line braid and so far I still like Power Pro better.

The Daiwa Samurai Braid is better than any mentioned. It is the 8 strand weave and is not stiff like the Fireline Braid. It is very smooth and also has a smaller diameter than comparable strength braids.

This will be what I try next.  Heard lots of goods things about Samurai.

I like em both the same, but I really love the suffix neon fire color, better than the pp yellow and very visible if you like to line watch.

I've been using Sufix now for several years now and love it! Mostly started using it because its more available to me. If I'd have to go to another braid, it would be Power Pro. Can't go wrong with either, IMO.
