revo stx vs curado 200e7 for light lure

Featured Replies

which reel can go more smooth and longer distance for 1/8 oz light lure, revo stx or curado 200e7?

with the right line and tuning of the reel im sure they could both work fine. the right rod makes a difference to. for light i would go for fast tip. but if i had to choose i would go for the revo. but i own 8 abu garcia reels so maybe im partial.

Every one of my reels are Revos but i have to give this one to the Curado(as much as it hurts)!!!! The Revos, IMO, excel with lures 1/4 oz and up.

Neither for 1/8oz, but Curado gets the edge.

This.

Try the Chronarch 50MG or Daiwa Sol for really light stuff.

I have a Curado and MG; the MG wins hands down, but the Curado can handle it with the right rod as people are saying, but do yourself and favor and buy a Chronarch.

I have both and I have to go with the Curado.  But my 51MG outshines both by a long long ways.

Later, ;)

When it comes to light lures, the rod and line used are much more important.  I can cast 1/8oz lures with my Citica 200E.  Most folks would tell you that this reel sucks for light stuff, but with a softer rod tip and lighter line it casts great.

Both of those reels can do what you want. Pick the one you like best. Just make sure you match up the reel with the right rod and line.
