Rods - if you shorten them, how does power/action change?

...lol  the same problem would exist with numbers as does with the stated actions...  different companies define the actions differently.  At least with the 4-5 actions you can't miss it by much...  a 1-10 scale would really throw them for a loop!!   ;)

If a rod is shortened from the tip, the action is slowed and the power goes up (in direct proportion to how much you shorten it)
