Size wise what do you guys think for mostly a shore bound guy? Lots of casting, multi-bait use on a Loomis 844(I think, still looking at the 784) and MAYBE, stripers...maybe. Will see pike duty but mostly largemouth and smallmouth.

Will be spooled with Yo Zuri Hybrid 12#.

I always like extra line but I can carry an extra spool fill in my vest or backpack.

What do you guys think?

100, little bit faster, lower line capacity and drag rating.

I would choose the one that fits my hand better, if you're only targetting bass.  If I were to target larger species, I'd choose the 200.

12# yozuri kicks butt, and I use it, but there are lines that cast a little better unaided. As a shorebound angler myself, when conditions dictate much longer casts, I will opt for a different line.

Both fit nicely but I must admit, a grip at the store doesn't tell what a day of casting will be like. Kinda why I'm leaning toward the 100.

What do you like for a longer casting line? I may like to get a little more range outta that 4 power if I downsize baits.

How does that combo cast on both the light and heavy side of baits? General "review" if you don't mind.

This is exactly the rig I'm decided on......I think. : ;D ;D

The 200gtb is the cadillac reel in that class, it has more bearings, a drilled front plate. I love mine, and I can cast anything from a 1/4 oz worm rig to a 3/4 buck tail with ease. If you want a round reel with vbs/six pin braking this is the reel to get.

MBR844C/ CTE200GT/ Yo-Zuri Hybrid #15 is my striper gear;

weighted soft plastics and sometimes jig rig. I would rate this

combination a dead solid 10!

I prefer the lighter weight of the 100s; they are quite capable of handling Stripers, Bull Reds, or Bass.
