Need Rod Suggestion!

Featured Replies

Hey everyone I'm looking for a new rod for lmb fishing. Preferably 6.5 to seven feet, mh fast action tip. I need a good all around rod though. I'm willing to spend around 200 to 250 bucks. What do you all think? Has anyone tried the lami excels? they look nice for the price. Thanks.

Gloomis IMX rods are in that range.

I have a Loomis MBR784 IMX in like new condition (only used once for a few hours) that I can sell to you. Its a 6'6" heavy action, but Loomis overrates their rods and it is rated for 1/4 - 1 oz lures. Shoot me a PM if interested.

Since you said "all purpose" I would highly reccomend the G Loomis MBR 783 GLX.  It's great for spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, jigs, worms, topwaters... and you can find one in your price range if you know where to look :D  Good luck!

I've got the 783, only IMX, and it is the definition of an all-purpose rod. It falls right in your price range if you buy it in store. I got one new off the forums for $180 not too long ago.

Dobyns 703 (7ft) or 733 (7'3) . I know you said 6'6 or 7, but 7'3 is an awesome length for all around bass fishing. Great for T-Rig plastics, Spinnerbaits, Buzzbaits, Senkos, Rat-L-Traps, you name it.

powell 139.99 great rod

X2

Rogue rods, are probably the most underrated rods ever made.....

You will not be dissapointed.

I also think the Johnny Morris Elite series are grossly underrated rods....
