What is your favorite oil and grease (not drag grease) for reel cleaning. I'm wanting to start mini-lubing my reels. I know shimano oil is probably pretty highly thought of around here. I also know that the TT guys like hot sauce. What's your favorite???

When I oil a reel, I usually use Ardent Reel Butter

I just use the Zebco branded reel grease and oil.  Does the trick, though there may be something better.

I don't work for Shimano® and am not a warranty service shop for them.

My oils won't I know that for a fact.

The HS from Quantum® I have heard could but not sure.

The rest I would doubt they affect it.

Best to run that question by the horse' mouth..

Thanks, I like the price of that oil and lube and would like to give it a shot.

For oil, I also like the Ardent Reel Butter. The Penn synthetic oil is also good.

For grease, I like Dupont Teflon White Lithium grease in the aerosol can... great stuff!

Spool bearings and level wind - Yellow Rocket Fuel or Ardent bearing oil.  Non spool bearings - slightly heavier Ardent Reel Butter oil.  Gears and other non-bearing parts - Superlube PTFE grease.  Shimano Ace-2 Drag Grease for internal drag components.

Hot Sauce Oil & Grease & Cal's Drag Grease for the drag washers.
