I guess Quantum deserves it rep..

I got a curado 200e5 and hate it, I have an older curado 200 dhsv that I love! I just got an energy pt760 from dicks for 42$ clearance and I love it. I also have a pro qualifier and Pro lite from bps with the dual break I love those as well! I have 2 Sustain 2500 reels from shimano and they are the only spinning reel I will use!

Really? want to trade my Curado DPV 5:1 for your E5 then?

The good news is that Academy will accept returns for just about anything.

The Accurist PTs are actually very good reels and many ppl on this forum have stated so. I have several Quantum rods and reels. They are all great and have performed better than some of the other brands.

I have fished with many Shimanos, several quantums, many BPS, and a few others. As far as performance, the Quantum Energy PT is at the top with the Shimano Chronarch. However, I find the BPS reels to be the best value.

I promise your Accurist PT will serve you well!

I would look into selling it, and getting another energy or tour pt or pro qual/carbon lite! I have that curado e5 on a 7'm compre crankbait rod!
