Your logic works, though you want to compare inches per turn (IPT), not gear ratios.

There's a nice Citica in the Flea Market for $65. Better jump on it!

I would say Core for trebles and Fuego for contact. They both have a 28 IPT rating but I crank with smaller line than I use for contact baits and the Fuego holds more line than the Core.

Relax guys, the dude had a question about using a Core and a Fuego, and what he could use on a frog rod for $100.

Why he deleted, I have no idea.
