matching a rod to a revo s

Featured Replies

thanks to those helping me in my other reel thread. i went to bass pro and got talked into going with a bait caster and went with the revo s. im looking for a good rod to match up with it thats under 150 what would you suggest? im gonna use this setup for plastics prob.

How about a 6'9'' MH Vendetta? They're made to balance with a Revo and you'll have $50 left over for plastics. I think they're rated 3/16 oz to 5/8 oz.

check out powell rods. It depends on where you are fishing, but stick between 6'6" and 7'. Look at Powell 682 and 683CEF, or 702 and 703CEF.

Also Falcon Bucoo, and Shimano Compre are great rods for around a hundy. good luck!

Get a 7' vendetta med action... it fishes like a med heavy action. The vendetta's were made for the revo's.

i agree about the 7'-0" abu vendetta, best bang for your buck!

St. Croix Mojo Bass.

I haven't fished with them but have checked them out in stores this weekend...

The Vendetta, and Falcon Bucoo are both really nice rods. Same for the Carbonlite from BPS.

Even a couple of the skeet reese rods I didn't mind (the jerkbait rod)

It's amazing to me that you can buy more rod for $100 today, than you could for $100 5 or more years ago.

You are 100% correct....

Vendetta would be my first choice.  They are constructed to balance with the Revo reel lineup.  However, the Falcon Bucoo would also be a good one.

+3 for the Bucoo. to me it feels like the 175$+ rods falcon makes, for way less
