I'm looking to get a new Jig rod/Texas rig rod and I can't decide between the two.. I was looking at the CUC-X72MH cumara or the MBR844C G loomis rod or possibly the MBR843C.Any input is appreciated 

My choice would be the MBR844C.

It is my favorite baitcasting rod!

My choice would be the CUCX72MH Cumara for strictly jig and worm fishing, unless you wanted to spring for the MBR 844 GLX.  In that case, I'd go with the Loomis.  The 844 is quite a bit more moderate in action and in my hands a more versatile rod than the extra fast Cumara.

i just bought a cumara cus72M and ive been very happy with it, i use it for texas rigged senkos and shakeyhead.

Kistler Helium LTA 7' MH wooops! That wasn't one of the choices. I'd go with the Loomis because I feel like it's the better rod but Shimano may have the better warranty.

I have both and think the cumara is a better buy. The guides are better, it's lighter, and is cheaper.

I own both Loomis and Shimano's and right now with the Loomis warranty crap (basically add $50 to the price of any Loomis purchase), the sweet black on black, and foam split grip it is hard to beat a Cumara. Especially when you can find them for around $175 and just bring them back to BPS when you break them.

I've got a CUC-72MH coming to me on Friday... You also can't beat the shimano warranty.

I have 4 Cumaras - 2 spinning, 2 baitcasters - great price - great warranty - great sensitivity - light as a feather!   

also just wanted to say that a cumara is almost exactly the same as a imx loomis, the sales rep told me that the cumara has 54,000,000 modulus in the rods and the imx has 55,000,000 modulus so he said that they are almost the exact same.

A sales rep told you that?  They are both good rods, but they are made differently... different factories in different countries; different processes; different cloth & components.

The modulus rating in rods is sorta like the contrast ratio in high def tv's.  It's good for comparing rods made the same way in the same factory, but is worthless for comparing between two different companies (even if one owns the other like in this case).

g.loomis is owned by shimano... been that way for over 10 years now.  and a shimano rep told me that when i called customer service.

I have all Loomis rods except for one Cumara 6' 8' MH X Fast.  I will be buying the 7"2' MH X Fast Cumara soon to pair with a Core 100 MGFV for flipping and pitching.  I love the all the Loomis rods and will stick with them for most applications, but I love the Cumaras for finesse.  I will say though I've never given the Loomis rods a chance for jigs, worms, senkos, etc.  I got a Cumara for this in the beginning and have just always stuck with it.  The GLX rods are awesome rods though!

I have the GLX and Cumara in similar actions and would say go with Shimano's Cumara, it a point of diminishing returns that in my opinion isn't justified with the extra cost.   Cumara wins hands down over the IMX though.
