I am looking to buy a baitcast rod and reel. I have pretty much decided on the st. croix rod but i am wondering on a reel. Anything less than 100 bucks. I was looking at the pflueger echelon, cetina or if i should pay a little more for the president. Any advice helps thank you.

Shimano Citica is my suggestion. MSRP is $120,

but you can find it for something less than $100.

stay with pflueger.get at least a trion narrow spool or the president.out of those 2 i would get a president.it's built on the revo frame and is nice and compact.

I love the president! Its very smooth and it casts great.  I also found it for about $50 less heres the link.

The Asaro is a nice compact reel with dual braking. There are some on ebay now, that are in your price range.

Just don't get the wide version, or WLP
