Abrasion Resistance of Hybred

Featured Replies

Has anybody besides me have had a problem with the abrasion resistance of 15 LB. Y0-Zuri Hybred? Did I get a bad spool? No where near XT, Big Game or CXX should I try another spool or is this normal? >:)

wow that's the first time I heard that.  I have 6lb all the way up to 20lb and I don't have a problem.  Well I"ve only been using it for a couple of months in both fresh and saltwater and still no problem.  I don't know why you have a problem with yours.  Maybe someone else can help you out.

Casts good, just around cover lay downs, bushes etc. is seems to fray easily

The abrasion resistance of Hybrid sucks compared to CXX or XT.

Hmm...

I have been fishing Hybrid through the

Tennessee River's "Rocks From Hell" for

more than 5 years. I think it holds up

very well.

Live bait don't count.

Try it in the rocks of the Watauga or Holston rivers.  Using 12 lb. Hybrid with deep cranks was an exercise in futility.  Having to retie after every five casts got old.

Fished the rocks at DVL..this lake is nothing but rocks for the most part, never had a problem with abrassion, have got a few baits stuck between the rocks though.. ;D

This with either 10, or 12 lb yozuri hybrid ultrasoft. :)
