Stick Jacket

Yes I am. I like them. I use them to hang the rods and reels in the "tackle shop" as well as to help ensure safe storage during transits to and from the water in the truck. Just the other day, I got a good deal in a few more right here in the BR Flea Market.

I use them and pay less at ***.com than the place you mentioned.

They are the greatest things to come out for fishing since the tackle wallets, so simple an item but makes taking rods out of rod lockers so much easier, plus the color coding makes finding the right one easier. Every time I use one I think why didn't I think of that.

They're needed if you want to fit multiple rods in a boat locker. Otherwise you'll break rod tips and bend guides.

Here's mine. My local Gander Mt carries them for $10.

I just switched from Stick Jacket to The Rod Glove (www.therodglove.com) . I use all Dobyns Rods and they were able to get all the tip wraps to say "Dobyns Rods" on it for me which is really neat. That's purely cosmetic, but a feature no one else offers.

I have all blue and yellow.  Not stick jackets though.

I bought mine from FiveBassLimit right here at BR.  Those are the only colors he's had available.

Well, sort of - My wife is really the true fan. I think the bait monkey might have picked those particular colors to get financial clearance for the purchase.

I am using a similar product from the local flea market, not sure if it is made by stick jacket or not.

Stick Jackets are MADE IN AMERICA.  Need I say more.  Save a job, buy American.

What prevents them from sliding off the front end of the rod easily? Do they just fit tightly? or is there some type of restraints you have to fasten?

they're like chinesse finger traps if you pull from the tip end they will get tighter you have to push them off I really like them saves alot of time fishing time on the boat not haveing to untangle rods at every stop

That's it. The spinning rod covers fit a bit looser than the casting rod models. However, as a previous BR member posted in another thread, a little touch up with a heat gun on the cover (without the rod in it) will snug it up nicely.

***.com has great service and has all the hot new stuff.  Be careful, you may buy more than you intended. ;D
