Has anyone used theese yet. They look like a killer bait. Going to pick some up in the next few weeks and give them a try. Just wondering if anyone has used them yet.

I saw them on lindners angling edge I believe.  They look awesome.  Kind of like an extreme walk the dog.  I plan on trying them as well.

yeah i watched the video a few days ago. but the concept behind it is what gets me. should be a killer bait on schooling bass.

I bought a couple of them, silver/black & pearl white.

If the ice is gone from the water tomorrow, I'll try them out.

I have 2 of them.Cant complain about the action or fish-ability.Its awesome.I just dont think I will do well since I fish a lot of murky or stained water. This seems more of a sight based type lure,whereas a regular spook type makes all the commotion on the surface.I think it would be dynamite out on the flats and backwaters in the gulf for sure on some snook,trout,and reds.

Yeah i saw the episode on linders when he fishes with these.  I will be picking up a couple of them.  

They looked really good on Lindner's, but I'm just not sure that they're anything other than a big jerkbait.  All of those smallies could have been caught on an X-Rap or a Pointer.

The only advantage I see of the Sub Walk over a jerkbait is that it looks like you can more effectively fish the whole water column.

I look forward to hearing reports from anyone who tries them out this year, but for now, I'm sticking with my jerkbaits  8-)

I bought -ONE!

I fish topwater jumpbaits a lot. Sometimes bass just can't be coaxed to break the surface. MAYBE this will help. But I'm not convinced -yet. Since it is a slow sinker it may operate as a shallow jerkbait as well. And maybe it'll be relegated to the has-been pile.

Most videos mean little. There are a lot of waters and conditions out there that can make any lure look good. I dis-liked the Rapala video. I don't need the hype, just the information. And, better, some time on the water with that bait.

I've got one. It's not really like a jerkbait. It is almost exactly like the Skitterwalk in appearance but the weighting is different and there are small fins near the rear of the bait. It glides in a walk the dog motion more than an xrap, which moves much more unpredictably and abruptly. I think it's a great solution for situation when you fish topwater baits and get followers who are just shy enough to not eat something on top. It's the same theory behind those buzzbaits with the long arms on em, sometimes fish are attracted to the motion of a bait but don't take it because they are hesitant to break the surface.

from what i've gathered, it only goes just a few inches under the surface. is this tru? or will it sink to 12' and walk the dog at 12'? if it only goes a few inches under the surface (like in the rapala vid) then i dont think its worth it, a regular skitter walk or other walking bait would be just as effective, however if it will operate at whatever depth you want, then it might be worth looking into

david, it works at about 6'' to 1' under the surface.
