i was just looking at the trilene 100% fluorocarbon line just wanted to know what pound line do u use i been seeing that some pros have been using 17- 25 lb line ? What would you guys or girls will  use or if any of you have a better choice of a fluorocarbon line ? i just asking because it will be on first time using fluorocarbon line   :-/ confused about the pound line ?

I would use braid instead of fluoro.

If you are set on fluoro, I would go with 17lb in that situation. Trilene 100% is good, Seaguar Invizx is better.

I agree to a point..Braid is best..fluro, I would use Seaguar AbrasX in 20lb..Seaguar has a smaller diameter than some lines, hence you can use a heavier line. Of course, it depends on the cover that your working. As for braid 50# min.

I like the Berkley 100% FC better than Seaguar myself.  If you really don't want to use braid, or perhaps a braid to FC leader, I would definitely go with some 17 or 20lb Berkley Trilene 100%.

I've had great success pitching/flipping P-Line 100% but I agree braid is preferred unless the H2O is really clear.

i use 30# fireline for flipping and pitching and it works great

I would say anything over 15# would be fine. Ya can't go wrong with 100% fluoro great line! I use 15# for all my flippin and pitchin, but that's me. Don't care for braid but alot of guys won't flip or pitch without it. It,s mostly personal preference!

I've had really good luck so far with Trilene 100%, but I have switched to Seaguar Invisx on two setups to give it a shot, side by side, with the Trilene 100%.

Depending on water color, I still use straight braid or braid with a 15-20# fluoro leader to do most of my pitching around weed cover. Braid slices thru weeds much better than any other line. This is one of braid's biggest advantages. I do pitch to very light cover and docks with straight 15# fluoro, though.

If you're set on straight fluorocarbon, I would recommend 15-17# test if you're focusing on the edges, and 17-20# if you're gonna get into some thicker stuff.

Putting your location in your profile will better allow people to give you advice on line test and tackle choices, because the types and thickness of cover and size of bass vary greatly in different parts of the country.

For strictly heavy cover, I've used 30# triple Fish with good success.  I prefer straight 65# braid, though.

thank all you guys but i have another question it relates to the line . If i have a main line like braid and a fluorocarbon leader as the trilene 100% fluorocarbon  what pounds should i use with this situation and does this work at all ?
