Curado and Revo SX...What application for which reel?

Featured Replies

I am trying to decide which reel I should use for Pitching/jig fishing and one for crainkbaits..both are 7:01.

Thanks,

Thats what i was hoping to hear...I have my braid on the revo and my flouro on the curado.

Thanks

when you say crankbaits, I assume you mean lipless or shallow.

My E7 is on my worm/CR rod. I just think the drag on the REVO will suit you better for flip/pitch.

Good luck & tight lines

The Curado also makes a wonderful paperweight or doorstop, just sayin'  :;)

I own both and either will do great at both jobs. I do feel my curado pitches lighter baits just a bit better, and I believe the revo has the edge in max casting distance.  The revo may have a stronger max drag but realistically that means almost nothing "on the water".

The curado is lighter and palms better in my hand. So that may be something to consider with tip up presentations like flipping and pitching bottum contact baits.

I was actually going to say the same thing about the SX with the addition that it's eco-friendly in that it builds it's own bird habitats with one small flick of the wrist.

But those Shimano plastic reels won't ever decompose

Weird. I own a Curado and an STX and I think the curado casts farther no doubt.

I have both the Curado 200E7 and Revo STX.

After some time on the water, I suspect you

with favor one over the other.
