Revo Winch or Curado e5

Winch if you will be casting heavy lures most of the time (over 1/2 oz).  Curado for lighter lures, though it will handle heavier lures, too.   I've owned both a Winch and a Curado 200DPV (200DPV and 200E have virtually the same spool).  The Winch would outdistance the Curado with heavier baits but wouldn't throw light baits like the Curado.  The Curado would handle lighter baits better and handled heavy baits respectably.

If I was only going to throw heavy baits, I'd own the Winch.  If I wanted to switch it up a bit, the Curado is the way to go.

I have an E5 and really like it for baits 8'+. I have heard the E5 is better with lighter baits than the winch and would take micros advice.

That must be one big bass to eat an 8' bait  8-) jk lol

I personally own both of these reels and think they are both great reels. Although, as far as throwing a crankbait, I've noticed that the Winch enables me to make a little longer cast to keep the crankbait in the strike zone longer.

I am a huge Revo fan every reel i own is a revo.  except for one and its my cranking reel. Curado E5 and i LOVE it

I have a couple of the Winches and could not be happier.  The Curado is also an excellent reel.  Try to borrow one of each and or get a demo if you can.  How it feels in your hand makes a huge difference.  I was able to pick my Revos up for around 165.00 which helped the selection process.

No, little fish go deep too :)

Good recommendations. Try getting your hands on both.

I used to use Shimanos, then when the Revos came out I jumped to Abu.  Last summer when the E5 and E7 were out I sold off my Revos for those.  Now I'm in to processes of selling off my E5s and E7s for the 2010 Abu Revo Premier.  I go back and forth on these, probably because I like trying new reels all the time.  You can't loose with either of those reels.
