Carrot Stix Closeout

I just bought 2 a few weeks ago, if you need a shallow crankbait rod that cam double for finesse plastics, the gold is a good choice.  The actions are a bit slower than the normal LTX.  I really like them, have 3 now, some don't and say they break too easy, I've personally never had any trouble with my 6'10MH that ive had for 2 years.  I have, however, had trouble with the tip guide grooving, the new guides are different though so this may have been corrected.

Is tw going to quit sell the carrot stix? There great rods light, powerful and durable.

I think E21 is redoing all of their lines of rods...this is just a liquidation of current inventory.

They've been on clearance for at least a couple months now at several retailers, including TW, BPS, and Cabelas.

I hate to bash any thing but I had a gold series and it lasted all of 3 weeks. Now I try to baby my rods and all my rods are treated with care and I dont power set the hook. I was throwing a 3/8 0z spinner bait and snapped the rod on the hook set. that is the first rod I have ever broken in 10 years of "serious" fishing. maybe I just had a bad one who knows.

Well that sucks. But I have fished my carrot stix for 1-2 years now and I have put that thing through crap and it holds up perfectly

I'm in the market for a new spinning rod. Was looking at the Gold rods. Now I'm not so sure I want one.. :)

Cabela's had these for $74.99 last week. Went back up to $89.99 after a couple days. Great price regardless.

A friend of mine needed a spinning rod for soft plastics so he bought a Carrot Stix from Cabela's.  Today he tried it out for the first time and it broke on his 5th CAST.  Not hookset, CAST.  There is no doubt that they have some quality control issues, or maybe just a fundamental design problem.  I had heard that they break far above the industry standard, but I didn't know what to believe until I saw it for myself today.

Cabelas is clearing them out as well. I broke both of the ones I had including the heavy jig rod. It broke on the hookset of a 2lb fish.

Just got a gold e21 two weeks ago.  Have not broke it yet although it has limited use, dont use a spinning rod much.  Caught about 6-7 on a shakey head, all around 2#'s

Honestly, I laugh at the guides, they look like they are off of a 15 dollar rod.

Anyone know where I can get original  in 7'9'' xh for sale every where I look they are out of stock
