Attractants ?

Featured Replies

Being a heavy user of Smelly Jelly (addict) and anyone else that uses it knows the side effects, they don't call it "Smelly-Jelly" for nothing!

I was wonder if anyone else has seen the recent Hank Parker show that he and a friend where using a new spray attractant, I thought was made by owner or Gammi that left no stink?

Thanks in advance.

MegaStike is my preference mostly because it's so user friendly. I comes in a tube and has the consistancy of Vasoline. Jack's Juice is also a sponsor who has had GREAT reviews on this board. Same goes for JJ's Magic.  I plan to give those two a try, too.

He was using Mustad Activate.

This stuff is the only attractant you'll ever need. I bought some last summer and love it. I did notice an increase in catches after I started using it. Now I won't even throw a soft plastic without dipping it in this first. It actually penetrates the plastic so it lasts longer than other attractants. Oh did I mention it's strong? I could actually smell it through the box when it came in the mail. It was wrapped and in a glass jar.

I like the Jack's Juice crawfish spray and the carolina lunker sauce gel tube.  Both apply easy and stay on for many, many casts.  Fish don't spit the lure back out ;)

I have used megastrike and it has somewhat put more fish in the boat. but not a huge difference

My favorite is the Real Crawfish Bang but it is a hassle to deal with and you end up getting overspray all over.  Therefore, I mainly use Megastrike.

I use Fish Formula II or Baitmate (clear) with a ½ oz of pure anise oil added  ;)

Never heard of the attractant you said you seen on the show Bassectomy, but I use Megastrike on softbaits, and Yum Crawfish Spray on jigs.
