Replacement trebles

Featured Replies

What treble hooks are you'all using to replace the cheap ones on your lures? If you have one that you like a lot, why do you like it?

I switched some of mine out with matzuo EWG type hooks. I've been happy with them. They don't seem to get thrown much.

For me, Either VMCs or Mustad triple girps. The former is one of the most economical for me. 25 hooks for about $5.00.

I have also used Gammies and Owners and they are just as good, but economics (best bang for the buck) dicate my choice for VMCs most of the time.

I'm with Munkin...any Diachii treble you put on your lures will not disappoint you

Strong + Ultra sharp + Stays sharp = Gammakatsu

How do Owner & VMC compare? I'm thinking I should give them a try.

Any of these treble hooks increase your hook-up to landing ratio on lipless cranks?

Can't go wrong with Gammy, Owner, or VMC.

I like Gammy round bends.
