Don't you hate it when you've got to back up what you're talking about with proof ?

It was Seaguar.

That's interesting, Glenn.  I had issues a few years back with Vanish breaking as John mentioned, though I have heard that the line is improved now.  I really like the Seaguar Invisx.  Though it stretches more than some others it makes great leader material.  Which Seaguar brand were you using?

The fish in my avatar was caught on 4# InvisX.  That line and the 6# size are GREAT on both Daiwa 1500/2000/2500 (ACS Spool) and Shimano 2500/3000 size reels.

I'm not sure which one it was.  It was 2 years ago.  All I remember is that it was 100% Fluoro, and that it was Seaguar.

I'm not knocking the brand at all.  I tried it based on the raves I saw here (so it probably was Invisx).  I'm just saying it didn't work out for me.  I couldn't see spending 2x-3x on line that seemed to perform worse than what I was already using.

If fluoro works for you, then by all means go for it, regardless of what brand you use.  You just won't see me using it anytime soon.

actually for visibility they use flouro.

I think you may have misunderstood what I said...

I agree with this (about using Fluoro for better above surface visibility). I have Red Braid and Green Braid on a few of my set-ups and I have a hell of a time seeing these lines sometimes when trying to line watch. As for the Fluoro, I have a much easier time picking it up with my eyes and being able to see the movement in the line. I don't know if this is a function of the polarized glasses I wear or just what my eyes can see best, but if I am using a line watching technique, Fluoro is what I am using.

Really, with 500 hundred dollar IM20 rods and Braided line. Who line watches anymore? ;)
