Daiwa Exceler Casting Internals

Featured Replies

Have any of you seen the internal workings of the Daiwa Exceler or have any pics of it?

I was wondering if the internals were on par with the BPS PQ.

Thanks!

Collin

They don't sound like they are on the same par. I had an exceler but took it back because it was noisy, I do not like hearing a reel zzzzzzzz when you cast it. I have 4 PQ's and they are quiet.

can anyone confirm or deny that the insides of the PQ are the same as the Revo?  I have read this other places.  I am heading to BPS on Thursday, interested in trying out this reel.

I have picture of Exeler, it is noisy but very well casting.

Thanks for telling me its noisy. I hate noisy reels as well

There was a guy here who could have done this.  He took them apart, took pictures of them, then also interchanged the gears from one reel to the other to prove it would work.  Can't remember who it was now though.

From what I understand is that they're both Pure Fishing Brands, so they naturally have almost the same exact design.

I think the difference comes down to the materials, and quality and # of bearings
