Featured Replies

just ordered a kristler mag. TS 7' med. crankin rod directly from them. great customer service. website said they were out so I called , she said give me a couple mins. and I will try and find one. got a call back in 5 mins. 1 left and I got it. glad I checked with them , cabelas price $159.95 , kristler , $89.99 . come on spring time ! ;D

nice pick up! looks like cabelas is over priced on those rods...ive seen 2 other sites with the same $89 price as Kistler site!  ;)

All I fish is Kistler you won't be disappointed. Congrats!! ;D

I did as much research as I could absorb. They seem like a very nice rod. If it is half as good as there customer service was , I am sure I will love it.

I don't know...Kistler was a hot topic around here until guys

actually fished them. I think there are much better values at

the pricing point. For the most part, Kistler has been a bust.

;)

I'm selling off all my Kistlers for Veritas. I think im hooked on the nano fiber. Super light and priced right

Good pickup, I have last years model of the same rod and had a chance to get it out a couple times before the freeze here and it felt pretty good. It seems that Kistler is the Quantum of the site but always wanted to try one of the rods and waiting on spring to really put it thru its paces.

I have a kistler argon "topwater" rod that I really like. It has a shorter handle and makes walking the dog and twitchin poppers a breeze.

I paid 69.00 bucks for it last summer. worth that price easily for me.

First cast with my Kistler a few years ago and BAM! Caught a nice LMB.

Happened in Jordan's Creek on Lake Gaston, Virginia.

Good rods.  Enjoy!  ;)

I have 3 heliums and 3 argons got each one for under 100$ at my favorite outfitter on E-Bay and won 2 on auctions.

So my price point isn't sugg retail :)

Not saying there isn't nicer rods just sayin LOVE MY KISTLERS! ;)

Kistlers are ok if you can buy them at a deep discount. The LTA'S that I had were decent but broke way too easy.

I had two magnesiums and they were good rods.  I got them at the end of the year closeout that Kistler has just about every year.  They are great at $100 but for their price point of $160, there are better at lower prices.  I felt that the magnesiums fished very similar to the Powell Max which is at a lower price.  I have since sold my magnesiums but just picked up a Helium II on sale so I'm gonna give them another shot.

On a side note, I have a friend that has about 4 of the 7'H Magnesiums and really likes them.

I used that exact rod all last summer for crankin.  It worked well for me.  I also have a helium ltx casting rod.  I own a few different brands of rods and I'm constantly tyring new ones.  I really like the Kistlers and wouldn't hesitate to get more if needed.  The only thing I've noticed about them is on average their tip sections are lighter than other rods of the same power.

Another vote for Kistler here as far as the magnesiums and argons are concerned their great rods,,,,,

2 LTX's & 2 Argons here.  I like the way they fish.  I prefer my LTX's to my IMX.  Consider me a fan ;)
