I am in the market for four new rods. I am looking to spend around $800 or so on the rods and the same for three reels (I already have a STX and Chronarch). I need rods for t-rig, jig, topwater, and something for wieghtless worms/flukes. Possibly a frog/slop rod if funds allow. T-rigs I throw are usually 3/16-1/4, jigs stay in the 3/8 range, and topwaters around 1/4-3/8. On the weightless I tend to use alot of unwieghted Zoom finesse, Trick Worms and a few flukes. I have been using Cumaras the lastt few yrs and have not been impressed. Seem to break too often. Well guys let me know what you suggest. Any help will be appreciated.

4 rods@$800= $200 each...Look into the St Croix avid series!

Zillion, St Croix Avid or Dobyns Champion would be my choices.

Dobyns Champion, St.Croix Avids, Falcon Cara t7 your options are limit-less! I would get the Champions though.

For your techniques I would suggest ;

T-rigs 7'-7'3"- M-MH/XF

Jigs 7'-7'6" - MH/F

Topwater 6'-6'6" - M/F-XF

Weightless worms -  same as t-rig rod saving you room for that frog/slop rod!

Frog/slop 7'6" H/F

Those are my suggestions! 8-)
