Any reviews on the Daiwa Viento baitcasting reel?

Featured Replies

I had one for a while, didnt like it all that much. The twitching bar was kind of cool, a little gimmicky though. But for some reason the internals in my reel kept getting messed up and i had to service it quite a few times. It became such a hassle that I stopped using it. BUT, when the reel was in working order it was a good reel.

And plus, the blues sexy 8-)

I have had no problems with the one I have.  At $89 (TW) it's good value.

Heard a lot of good things about this reel.

For those of you that have used it, what rod do you think would be best suited to handle all types of fishing with it?

If you get one mentlly erase the twitchin bar and you got yourself a very good reel ... for 89 dollars it 's a no brainer.
