Curado/Chronarch for Pithing?

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I've already picked up a cuardo, but I'm curious. Is there much of a difference for pitchin/flippin between these 2 reels? I had a revo sx, but I thought a centrifugal brake system may be a little better for this. Anyway, anyone tried both for this that can tell a difference? Opinions on supertune/bearing upgrades that would be beneficial for this technique?

You don't need any brakes for pitching, just your thumb.  All you need is a free spool, so pick a reel that feels comfortable for a whole day of fishing.

A Curado should pitch fine as long as it's serviced. The old green Curados however, are a reel that responds well to supertuning IMO.

it's a e7, and thanks guys.

I've got both and I use the D7 and 51E for pitching. :)

I would have no problem using an E7, but I like it for throwing bigger T rigs and on a buzzbait/spinnebait rod.
