Good combo for kids?

Featured Replies

I am looking for a decent, but inexpensive combo for my 7 year old daughter.  She has a cheap ultra light now and I want to get her something a little more substantial.  My son has a BPS megacast and it is not bad.  Here's the catch, my daughter or course wants pink.

Has anyone tried one of those Shakespeare Amphibian Jr. Spinning combo?

I want something 5'6" light, 2 piece.  Any suggestions???

Lady Ugly Stik.

They're pink, and if you hit up BPS you can usually find some pink combos of other brands for cheap.

If you really want to spoil her though, get her an Avid Pearl.

Here, try this site. I have ordered from them before, and very good quality. Everything is in Pink, I am sure she will like it.

My kids use Zebco combos.  They can handle a big one if they get lucky and I think there are some pink versions.  The youngest caught a 4.5 lber when she was 5 with one ..

Oh, and they only use artificials too .. usually a stick bait.
