Notice the part where he said the first day he tried it he won an Elite Series event on SML? Call me crazy, but Carrington aint fishing the Elites, Bassclary.

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH,

His whole post was sarcasm wasn't it...

... that doesn't usually transfer too well over the internet.

ive been leaving the plastic on my rods for years now, it really adds so much sensitivity. The first day that i left the plastic on, i won an elite series event on SML. I do it and you should to.

ps... wouldnt leaving the plastic on decrease the sensitivity :D   You are giving him inaccurate information. haha

Rods are meant to be used so go ahead and dirty up that cork on that new Loomis. It'll clean up. You don't put plastic on the sofa do you?

Uhhh.....There's neighborhoods in South Philadelphia where 3 out of 5 houses will have that... :Dhttp://1.bp.blogspot.com/_A5FL9OIazeA/RyFbL9kGuQI/AAAAAAAAAio/xxchbZJMUCY/s400/plastic%2Bcovers.jpg

I just don't get it. People buy such nice stuff they scared to death to use it. I've seen fabric slipcovers but plastic on the sofa is a new one on me though.

There are a few different rod handle tapes that you can try. Some people like a few wraps of hockey tape around the reel seat. I personally like the feel of tacky, untreated cork.
