Carrot Stix Question

Friend's Carrot Stix rod cracked in half when he casted it this past weekend.

I know the Carrot Stix has a lifetime warrenty so he can replace the broken rod.

My question is: has anyone else had problems with the Carrot Stixs and if so, what did the manufacturer do for you?

Just wondering.  :)

I heard a lot of issues on here about them breaking. No personal experience except using a friends rod for a few casts. After hearing all the issues I decided not to buy one when I had the chance.

I had the same thing happen to me on a cast....  Broke right in two..I took it back to the tackle shop I bought it from and he was able to return it with no problem...

I don't mean to hijack the thread...but it's somewhat related.

Have any of you have problems reaching the company?  I need to send mine in and have questions to ask them.  It keeps going to their warranty voicemail and they have not return any of my phone calls.

Gander Mt will not take the rod back...told to send it back to e21.  Do not have the receipt anymore...bought it 3 yrs back.

I have had no problems with either of my carrot stixs in fact I love them they are now the only rods I use. I had a friend stick one in the ceiling fan and break it and bass pro shops replaced it no hassle took maybe 5 minutes.

i havent fished with c-stix long...just got 2 this year bc of good price...hope mine dont break!!  :-/

I own 4 carrot Sticks. I registered them online as prescribed by them. I have broken 3 of them in the last year, only one was on a cast. the others were my fault. Just sent in a personal check or CC for $39 and they sent a replsacement no questions asked.

I also registered online for warranty, now im glad i did!

I have yet to register mine. Thanks for the heads up doing that today.

Never seen one break in person, but I know it's a bad sign when every time I go into my Orlando Bass Pro Shops a broken Carrot Stix is being returned. I won't ever buy one for that reason alone.

I bought one when they came out and never registered it. This winter I was yo-yoing a rattletrap for largemouth and wipers and the rod just folded in half on one of my lifts. No fish, no snag, no pressure other than the bait. It was something like 49 dollars for the replacement and 20 for shipping. Still had the reciept but Cabela's wouldn't take it back either. They're in the bargin cave for 79 dollars pretty often, I just bought another St.Croix instead  8-)

My brother has a micro guide heavy fast action, that broke right in half about a week ago he sent it back.He is waiting on the new rod, will let yall know how long it takes.I told him not to get that thing, but no he just does not listen to big brother.

Sold my 2 Carrot Stix rods this year they just didn't feel good to me. And hearing about so many breaking scared me.   :-/
