I have been on a lure building kick for awhile now.

If anyone has any beat up baits that they would like painted I would like to do it. I don't want to make any money off of anyone. What would be the coolest for me would be for me to keep 1/3 of the baits that I paint. You guys can decide what colors you want, send them to me, I'll paint and clear coat all of them, keep one of every 3 and pay to ship them back. I would like to keep this limited to established members (200+ posts). If anyone is interested let me know.

MODS: I didn't know where to put this if it goes into takclemaking, the only people that would see it are the people that could paint their own, LOL. I fully intend to lose money doing it, so I hope it doesn't cross any "advertisement" lines. If it does, delete away and no hard feelings from me.

I think this is the right section to get some response from the broader membership. I hope you can get people involved, I think you have come up with a GREAT idea. Do you want to specify what type of lures you are most interested in or let the members just decide what they want to send?

The only thing is that the more beat up a lure is the better it catche fish, so I don't want it fixed. That's just my $.02

I'm most interested in getting more practice painting. A multitude of small baits will acutally be better than a few big baits.

I am running out of my own stuff to repaint, LOL!

fourbizz, do you have pictures of your work? i have a few cranks that arent beat up at all, infact, they've never been used. i just flat out dont like the colors, so i dont fish em. but if you could paint em all pretty that would be cool.

I don't meet the criteria for a established poster but I do have close to 10 baits I could send you and even a few spinnerbaits I could send if you wanted to try them. Most are new and still have paint...let me know if you're interested.

Alright guys, so far I have received baits from Dsaavedra, Infidel, Brokejew, and someone else whose username I don't know. Not in a rush at all, since I don't know when I will be able to do it, but if you sent me baits a long time ago and are not oneof the guys listed above, something has gone wrong.

I have painted a few, but I am going to do them in batches of colors, not batches of sender. So it might be awhile

Take all the time you want with mine.  I only want two or three back anyway and definetly not in a hurry.  To be honest with you, I probably won't even fish them once you paint them.  I'll put them on display with my other customs.  Make sure you sign the bottom of mine.

I keep going back and looking at the paintjob on those 2x4's.  Dude...they're sweet.
