Lakes in KC area

Featured Replies

What all good fishing lakes are in the KC area?

I know there is Smithville real close but is there any others even in Kansas?

If I was going to be in the KC area I'd definitely be trying out Mozingo. I understand Smithville can be one tough mutha.

Smithville is really turning on again. If I was in KC I'd be driving a little to Clinton, and getting on Truman. Mozingo is good, but it's NW part of the state. Also around KC is LaCygne which you could fish right now. Power plant lake straight south of KC in Linn County. It has big fish in it! Also hear good things about Lake Olathe.

You are around alot of good bass water!

Not Olathe Lake, not Hillsdale, not Clinton Lake (Lawrence, KS)...

There are a couple nice smaller lakes around South KC.

Other then those I've come to believe that KC doesn't have much to offer for bass...
