For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports

Featured Replies

So do we have a head count for Thursday? Some real interesting text coming out of the Dotte this afternoon!!

I'm in.  Wife is out.

I'll be there dudez! Looking forward to seeing you guys and talking shop. Been a minute.

Also, along those same lines...looks like I'll finally have some time to come up for air after Christmas, and will be taking a much needed break from 12/30 through 1/5. Just picked up the rig from US Boatworks in KCK today, and am looking forward to getting back on the water as soon as freaking possible and running the hell out of this new motor. So after we've all gotten our holiday stuff out of the way, let's make some plans. Open seat for any and all of those days.

I'll gladly go with you.  How does the 2nd sound?

Here are some pictures and the video from the giant I caught at LaCygne this weekend. She weighed 10 ls 15 oz and released to fight another day.

Fished LaCygne Sunday- I started up lake and noticed quite a few boats in the river section. I pitched flooded brush and water willows for a while ending up with one fish about 2lbs.

Sounds good to me man. Hopefully it's not 10 degrees with a few inches of snow on the ground! Text me and we'll figure out the details.

what did you have done?

Carb rebuild and a few small minor adjustments. Basically new now. The owner of US Boatworks was astounded at the quality of the motor for an '83, as well as how good of a job my pops and I did on the interior rehab of the boat. The biggest bonus was they took my old Evinrude in trade, so the new carbs and other small adjustments only cost me $65 out of pocket. Pretty stoked

Thought I had found my boat. Called the guy and everything sounded good, asked if I could test drive if. He said it's winterized and he doesn't want to have to winterize it again. Who's going to pay 10k for a used boat they've never even ran?

What was it?

And BTW, I'm the idiot that buys a boat that's never driven it. Lol!

I've done it at least twice.

2010 Nitro X5 with a 115 merc. It's on KC MO Craigslist if you want to look at it, great looking little boat.

Purdy! That new of a boat should be good to go but it makes no sense that he won't get it out to sell it.

Does that have a folding toung on the trailer?

Think all nitros after 2004 have it.

I have bought two without a test drive, one I never even started the engine. Luckily they both turned out to be solid!!!!!!

Both of you are braver than I am. If I can't get it out on the water I at least want it hooked up to muffs and see/hear it run, shift and watch the RPM's. Like to see the pee stream also. lol.

If I can't at least do that, I'm walking away no matter the deal. Been burnt once before, and actually the biggest pain wasn't the money, it was the wife. ;)

Only exception would be a boat off the showroom floor (new).

I have seen that boat on more than one for sale site for several months. Doesn't make sense he isn't all that interested in selling it.

Maybe if he sits on it a while longer ??????
