I heard that they are going to re-name this lake to  "T-rig" lake ;D Congrats!!

  • 2 weeks later...

Wow, those are some stout looking Bass!!!  Beautiful country too.  I had the honor of skiing Zermatt back in 1990, breathtaking.

Hmmm,

I think it's about time that we start exchange visits T-rig.... Swiis bass look definitely interesting. And I bet you would love Cyprus bass as well ;)

They certainly do have their similarities, short, bulky, very healthy looking.

T-rig----check your scale buddy, she looks a tad bigger.

Thanks! Will do! I did check it a couple of times with sugar etc. and it's pretty accurate.

Lost a big fish today (6-6.5lbs.) on the same jig. Boy I'm ticked!

Way to go T-rig!! I think Cybasser is correct. We should organize the trips!

Hey Daniel,

Through your amazing lure collection I have noticed quite a few interesting topwaters - and as far as I am concerned nothing beats topwater action in bass fishing. Are swiss bass responsive to topwaters?

I'm catching all my fish on jigs and topwaters at the moment. I know it's sounds strange but I can't get them to hit jerkbaits or crankbaits. Most topwater fish are not very big (1-3lb). I use pencilbaits mostly but i had a couple on poppers as well.

I managed to catch 4 today but no big one's. There nothing better then catching bass on topwater baits!

Lost a good one on t-rigged beaver. I thought the spawn was over but i found a few new nests today. This must be the second wave of spawners. There only very few new nests but it's really strange to see post spawners and bass that that are in full spawn. I did not catch any bass off beds, all the bass I caught blind casting. The late spawner must be the smart one's because they would not hit anything.

These bass are alot thinner then they were in winter. I find that quite strange. I haven't seen any baby bass around at all. Could be a bad spawn this year due the crazy weather we had. Temps last week were in the low 50s.

A couble of spawers were cought in Cyprus last week on a t-rig tube & wooly bug. This is unusual for Cyprus as well although the majority of bass have spawned.

Nice fish , nice lure , Jackall?

Lunkers Club Joy Pencil (12cm). The lure is in pretty rough shape but still works great!

I know how u feel Daniel , I had a 2,2 kg last week on the topwater that almost cost me a heart attack  ;)

Her belly was full of eggs , something really strange at this time of the year

Vyron, which lure where you using? I only seem to catch fish in the 1-3lb. range. Maybe I have to upsize my lures?

1/2oz skitter pop

sammy 110 produced me some fish 2 but at the 1 kg range

Daniel, give them a shot with the largest topwater lures you can get. The type of topwater doesn't really matter - it could be popper, spook, muskie jitterbugs, whatever. If the area has large bass, and judging from your photos you know where to find the large ones, press them on. You might get fewer bites, but the results are worth it!!! ;)
