Featured Replies

Just wondering, has anyone on this site fished the Pokomoke River in southern Maryland?

hmm i fish the potomac river in md  but never heard of a pokomoke river  unless it is out east around annapolis or baltimore area

I have heard of the poComoke river being a very good place to fish, but have never fished it. It is on the lower eastern shore.

The pocomoke river is the last river on the bay.on the eastern shore.

i've never fished it...i plan on fishing it this spring with a guide.

i'll post up when i do.

My uncle and I used to fish there back in the day, when he lived in Crisfield, but it's been so long that I don't remember much about it.

have fished the river in september and october. would like to know what spring and early summer fishing is like.

the goog thing about the pok is that the patterns are fairly consistant. I usually have my best luck around snow hill, goat island, and the bridge. I use Mann's hardnose finesse worms and dark colored 1/4 oz jigs. Tide is crucial. Smack dab between high and low tide is the best 2 hours of fishing on this river. Good luck !
