Going down to the river in October was wondering if anyone has fished there lately.How has the bite been?

Just Google Mapped it cause I wasn't sure myself. It's about as far east as you can go without being total salt water (guessing this is going to be brackish water) and south of Salisbury. Sorry I can't help you out on this one! I don't get over the that part of the state.  :-/ Hopefully, someone else may be able to help you out!

The bite has been good. Buzzbaits around the pads have been the staple for the summer.  There are pads all along the river both on the inside and outside. Nassawango creek has also been producing really good.

No problem, let me know how it goes. The times I have fished the river my best luck came with buzzbaits around the pads, flippin and pitchin the pads, and fishing shallow laydowns. There are plenty of fish in the river although you may catch your fair share of pickeral too. Not all our water over here is salty :D On this side of the bridge we lack the resevoirs but have decent rivers and ponds to fish.
