I've caught pickeral and bass out of the same weed patch. It really depends on the cover and structure. Pickeral will inhabit areas that are really shallow and muddy. Most of the time I won't find any bass in those areas.

Finally got out on the water and man what a day. Caught one that was little under 5lbs and a monster at 6lbs 13oz. My second largest ever. My poor Dad got skunked but at least he gets to hold my fish in the pics :)

caught this overly ambitious sunfish on a lure as big as him at round pond. also had a bass follow my lure to the boat and jump out of the water and miss at the last second. lots of turtles sunning today.

Whopper. Nice Catch. Congrats.

Well done!!

Looks like Southern NH has been doing pretty well this year.

That's at least 5 fish over 5 pounds we've seen in these posts

WOW!! NICE fish everyone!

That's a monster wagn! You too Bass Tard!

I'm not sure if we really fall into the "southern NH" catergoy here in the Hillsboro area, but I'll post my pic here too. A nice 3lb'er  caught this AM on the jig(KVD swim jig in green pumpkin) in deep water. Water temp was 53ish

Keep it up everyone!

Went out today for an hour before work and I finally got the first fish of the year out of the way. It was a tiny fish but I still had to take a pic for the first fish of the year, today was the first time this year that I could spot the fish cruising around in the shallows. Got it at the wilton reservoir btw, going out somewhere tomorrow might as well while we have this weather. So here's the beast ;D ;D ;D

Thats a nice fish. I'd definitley say that Hillsboro is considered southern NH.

It's tough, we are right on the line between southern NH and central NH.

And it's hard watching the "A Shoutout to all NH fisherman" thread starting to lose steam after three seasons fishing.  That's why I post in that thread most of the time.

I agree Jay. The Shoutout to all NH fisherman has been one of the longest threads on this forum. I say we keep that running and post most stuff in there. It's not as if there are so many NH guys on the board anyway that we need to seperate southern and northern NH. Most of us are in the south half anyway.

I was not trying to seperate Southern NH from Northern NH. Hope I did not PO anyone.
