Goose Creek, Va

Anyone know where one can get public access to that creek?

I checked out Sycolin Rd but there doesn't seen to be a parking and path down to the creek but boy that house on that creek is money.

I saw a road that may or may not lead to the Dam. Has anyone tried that?

How about the path from BeaverCreek Dam from the Resevior Rd side?

From Route 7 headed west towards leesburg, take a right on Golf Course Rd, and park in the little parking area near the old green bridge.  From there you can go up or down stream.  I have fished from the bank, a kayak, and waded, and for goose creek when the water is down, found wading to be the most fun and productive.  Right now with water levels so high, I would try the bank.

Another place to access from Rt 659 is at the water treatment plant.  I dunno if that access is still open, but you can try.  It is tough fishing there, but despite the pressure and the illegal aliens net fishing, there are still bass both above the dam and below it.

A J, It's a left on Golf Course Rd off of Rt. 7 if you are going west.

Yea, looking at google maps, it's the road by Goose Creek Golf Course.

Is the water treatment pant on Hearford Lane off 659? looks like a Dam there?

The road by the water treatment plant is closed to traffic other than plant employees. I just drove by there last week and tried.

Jeff, from Goose Creek Golf Club down to the Potomac, the East side of Goose Creek seems to be park property and it has a pretty well defined trail that goes from the Golf Club to the Potomac.

you could also make a right on belmont ridge parkway then a left on riverside parkway go over the bridge and park in the neighborhood to the left and walk down the hill where the bridge is...haven't fished there yet but when down there the other day and it looks pretty nice...

PM me for public parking access to the East bank that will put you on the side with the path and what I saw as the better side for bank fishing.

I haven't tried it yet but I think there is access on Lime Kiln road off of Rt 15 north of Gilberts Corner.  I know I passed what looks like parking areas but haven't had a chance to stop.   Anyone tired here?

Tried the creek today along the banks for about an hour.  got skunked but did get little bites.  The creek is waist high and I'll have to come back next weekend and try wading thru it.  I heard it's better on the West bank from a local guy.  It's tough to fish from the bank from the east side for sure.

I don't buy that at all. I fished it the other day from that access I showed you back upstream all the way to the Riverside Pkwy bridge and down towards the Potomac a little bit. There is more access to the best smallmouth spots from the east side and although the shoreline is better on the west side down by the Potomac, it seems to be part of the golf course property.

When I went I caught two smallmouth, saw a largemouth I missed, and lost two other bites.
