  2. i love how his smiles get bigger in each pic... great job paul... send me an email and let me know some more details as i'm interested in where those fish came from
  3. landed a beautiful 2 lb. smallie north of riverside pkwy... will post pic soon... man was that fun =) there are good spots up and down but like dan said, it's hard to access some of em... east side represent!!
  4. azdan... i grew up in oakton and have fished both of those lakes... fox lake is def a no go... it is surrounded by properties that back all the way to the water which stinks because it was a great spot(had a friend that lived next to it)... but, timberlake although private is seperated by woods... if you are quiet, polite, don't leave any trash and don't take any fish, i highly doubt anyone will ask you to leave... it is an old lake in a newer neighborhood good luck... i didn't tell you to go there and fish the laydowns near the point
  5. It was unfortunate that we all didn't get to meet and talk mid way and share advice... i had good success throwing a spook before 7 am and landed two that went 3 and 2.6... the bite seemed to slow down on the south end of the lake until about 10... i think the water started to warm and made some more fish move up... managed another one about 1.5 cranking a point and lost a big big fish on 1/2oz black/blue jig because i went to long without checking my line for nicks and abrasions... i would love to meet up with any of you guys that have a jon with a motor seeing how i have a gps unit loaded with off shore structure that is going to really come into play as all the big fish go back to the depths... i'm on a mission to catch some of the biggest fish in bdam and i know some spots that will hold those fish... pm me if anyone is interested in planning another trip to go hunt for quality and not quantity's of bass
  6. be warned... there are paths all over but there are lots and i mean lots of ticks.... especially deer ticks so take extra precautions and constantly check
  7. i will say that i have seen a game warden there 3 times this year and other friends have seen them there a bunch too so i think they are heavily patrolling this place and hopefully they will keep the crime down... kids were swimming on friday and the warden showed up just after they left so i'm sure they would have been ticketed had he seen them... don't forget your fishing license, they are out in force also don't forget your pfd's... i got a citation for that one
  8. beaverdam has been great since mid march... have caught lots of fish between 2-4 lbs. plus this one i caught on friday which went for 4lb. 5oz (it looked bigger than that, i hope my digital scale isn't going bad) the roadbeds and humps are lovely... have you found the old building foundations yet???
