Jigs can be fished in any time of the year or water condtions and for many different times of fish and is very versital baits  aslo many different approches and could be very specific or general purposes ;D

Hey Troutfisher, I tend to agree with Maltese. You have posed a really tuff question. If I only had one bait and I haven't connected with the fish, my brain would fry thinking about all of the other baits and techniques that have proven themselves and that might work in any given water that I am covering. At my age thats not healthy, I might have a nervous breakdown or something. Now you wouldn't want that to happen to one of us now would you? I think an interesting question might be phrased " In _____ lake, during the ____ of the year, with water temp being _____, with a wind speed of approx ____and from ____ direction,  in ____ type of cover, and _____ clouds and weather conditions, in _____ depth of water and you have already worked ______ , _____, _____, _____ and _____ types of baits without much success, what would be your last resort bait to bank on or finish up the day provided your fishing day ends up at ____ o'clock? Now, some of us can make a decision without getting too ancy. LOL Really I have favorites in each different condition so hard to choose. Good Fishin

Either a 6 inch senko, or a 3/8 jig.

If all I could use was a Senko it would be a short trip. They dont last very long but it would be a short and sweet trip!

Tough one - its hard for me to stick with the same thing for an hour much less a day.  But, here goes - watermelon senko.  Can fish/finesse it so many ways.

Mine would be a jig.

Huddleston trout ROF #12, in regular, or holdover trout pattern is all I need, for most of my bass fishing. The exception to that being Spring sightfishing, where I might use a Huddlebug, or a 6" Hud, or a Basstrix Bluegill.

+1 - I've become a reel swimbait wh@&e lately.

I would have to say a 3/8 oz jig with an *** trailer, the only problem I have with it is when the vegetation starts to grow up in the summer and fishing a jig gets tough.
