Fishing in Collierville, TN.

Featured Replies

Hey, I am new to this website and was wondering if anyone could help me find nice places to fish in the Collierville area. I usually fish at the sandpits, herb parsons, or a few places in Germantown. Is there any place near me that have good bass?

I have been fishing the 57 acre lake at the Collierville Town

Hall. Generally good numbers and a few big bass:

I see, how's the fishing there at dusk?

A couple of locals told me 12" purple worms were producing

some 7 & 8 lb bass from around 5:30 to dusk, but nothing

after the sun goes down. I have not fished there in the

evening, only mornings.

Oh alright thanks, I'll give that place a try.

I went out there today with two of my friends around 4 and stayed there till 5:30.  It wasn't too bad.  They tried to use topwater baits and poppers but had no luck.  I used 6 inch zoom worms and a rooster tail. I caught 4, one big one, on the worms but none on the rooster tail.  I was wondering what bait you used out there and how you use it. Any tips?

Best so far:

Rage Tail 7" Thumper, MegaStrike MegaBug and GYCB Fat Ika.

The bigger the worm or lizzard the bigger the fish in this lake.  I tye my own hair jigs and use them quite often in this lake for R&D because it is so clear.  Have caught some nice bass on lighter jigs with a lot of hair so that they fall slow and don't get hung up in all the grass.

at the town hall, huh..never knew they had a lake back there. Grew up in collierville too. Did this used to be part of the gravel pits? I may have to stop out there sometime tomorrow.

yea it used to be part of the gravel pit. I went out there with RW today we didnt do to well but u can try it tho RW has had alot luck out there i think im sorta of a jenks or something lol

Caught a few nice ones at the sandpit the other day. Was about 3 in the afternoon and really hot. Two were around 2 lbs and the other was over 6. I was really surprised and was the first time I've been there. Was bumping a purple worm along the bottom and they hit like they were starving

Found it. Caught a few 1-2 pounders on a purple worm. A guy told me he caught a 5 out of there last night. Thanks for the tip on this place!
