I think your best bet on The Chick is to fish tight to structure and fish slow. Water temps a few weeks ago were 51, so they are surely deep into the 40s now.

When I fish The Chick with very low water temps, I fish closer to the dam and deeper water. Regardless of water depth, I usually find fish at about 8-12 feet. Sometimes a bit deeper. But rarely below 15 or so feet. I've had luck on jigs, silver buddies, small lipless, slow sinking senkos, and suspending cranks.  In fact, the fish in my avatar was caught on The Chick a few weeks ago.

try flippin to the base of the cypress trees  ;)

Chewed a bit (Not terrible, just cosmetic) out of my keel guard with ice down here a few weeks ago, is there any ice up there?  If so is there anywhere that has a reprieve from the D*&$# ice?

Fish should hold in deep areas near shallow water.  Don't be afraid to throw a 1/2 oz white spinner bait, retrieved s-l-o-w-l-y.
