When I lived in Florida I used redshad, tequila green flake, junebug, black/blue flake, pumpkinseed, and blackgrape.

From what I have seen posted before junebug and redshad work well. Ask Earthworm77 he is now a Floridian and owns a tackle business (MicroMunch Tackle) so he probably has an ultra secret fish catching color. ;)

This changes from state to state, region to region, city to city, and lake to lake. Sometimes, different colors are better in different parts of the lake. I believe that this is up to you to figure out. Experiment and stick to the basics until you find something that works.

The few times I have fished in Florida, my favorite was 5'' Senko black and blue laminate.  One other color that was equally as good was a 4'' and 5'' Yum Dinger Smoke Laminate.

Welcome to the forum.

My experinece is that you can't go wrong with any color that has "pumpkin" or "watermelon" in the name.

White is a standard.

good luck and have fun

fla grape green flake year round and red shad green flake during the spawn.              (FLORIDA GRAPE  -IS BLACK GRAPE BUT HAS A VIOLET HUE WHEN HELD UP TO SUNLITE)  all black grape not the same.    another tip,you want the darkest red shad you can find.  tip i learn from one of  largest plastic bait manufacturer around. we were using rejects because they were too dark and the fishermen didnt like. on the dark waters of florida the bass love them. (kissimmee chain)   another thing,i found out there is a crawfish that lives south fla.  the front pinchers look like red shad and the back looks like june bug.      COINCIDENCE???????????   PICS WERE ON INTERNET
