Anybody grow a beard for the winter season?

Featured Replies

How many of you guys grow your beard out for the winter season?  I usually wear a goatee year round, but decided to grow a full beard for the winter.  It's the first time i've done it, and i have to say, working outside most of the day, it sure helps keep my face warm.

The bass player in our bluegrass group is for deer season.  ;)

I do the chin thing  GOATEE for the season!!!! 8-)

I don't think it keeps your face warm. I don't shave all summer. Then when winter comes I shave it off.

I grew my beard after shaving for my wedding in 1980 and I haven't shaved since. I guess that's kind of a long season.  ;) LOL

ahahahahahahaha

Everyone thinks I'm weird for this, but all the die-hard Yankees fans will appreciate it... I start growing my Van Gogh the day the Yankees are done for the season.  I shave it off when pitchers and catchers report for spring training.

I was going to but I don't know how long it would take to get those 11 hairs long enough be able to twist them up into a beard, lol.

Same here,  I can grow a goatee but if I try to grow a beard its blochy.  I do grow one for deer season.

I have a goatee or short beard in the summer and grow it out for the winter. It's nice to have when it's cold out and the wind kicks up.

Since 1984, I have grown a beard every winter except for two.  For a long time I wore a goatee, but the last three years I have gone "nude" in the warmer months.

Tipptruck, starting in November, grow a beard and then shave it off in mid-January when the temperatures are very cold.  You will notice a big difference.  A beard definitely helps if you like the outdoors in the winter.

i keep thinking about it but my gf doesnt like beards. but d**n it really does help in the cold windy weather. even when i just got my goat goin and i shave it off regardless of season my chin feels so cold and breezy

Good one

I started growing a full beard (minus the neck) about a month ago, it has grown in very nice so far.  I'll keep it as long as the little woman doesn't shave it off while I sleep.  She hates it!!!!!!

I can't even gro a shadow.  Literally.  You guys thought I was exageratting, I have maybe 20-40 actual hairs on my face.  I shave the corners of my top lip and my chin.  That's it, and even then, it's maybe 2-3 times a week.

So go ahead, throw in all the jabs,.....let's hear them,....I'll be sure to read them when I wake up but that will be 10 minutes later than everone else who has to shave.

;)

PS- I have 1 (one) hair that grows dead center on my chest.  I don't know what he's thinkin', but then again.....................grass don't grow on a playground

:)

I couldn't grow one to save my life. I get this weird blochy homeless lookin' dude look going on. I just keep my face clean shaven prety much all the time. I shave about every other day...the little women likes it like that. ;)
