Walk up song for baseball

Featured Replies

I need a walk up song for my high school  baseball team.  I am a fan of rock so something along those lines.  The thing is most of the song won't get played so it needs a good first 15 seconds.  Also it can't be to hard and the word choice is also a factor.

I was thinking about Bodies?

I always thought "Green Onions" by Booker T. and the MG's would be an awesome theme song. Not really rock, but I still think it would be cool. Besides, it's also got the Sandlot baseball connection.

All my friends are on the baseball team at my school and they are all jrs. They were all thinking about what cool song they would play when they walked to the plate but the seniors decided to pick instead without letting them know. Just to name a couple one kid got hanson's mmbop and my favorite is my best fried got the im too sexy... song. He said the first time he walked to the plate he felt like an idiot.

that must suck having that song

A song I always thought would be awsome for a closer to come into would also work for a walkup song.  It's:

Chevele...The Clincher.

hell's bells by AC DC would be a good one too.

Driven by Rush off the Different Stages Live Box Set.  The guitar solos are awesome.  I have heared used a few times over the years at our AAA team.  Also, Seek and Destroy by Metallica used to be popular back in my day as a on deck song.

Thunderstruck is always played at the Ballpark in Arlington, Texas when the Rangers need to rally.  It really gets you on your feet and hollering for the team.  Another I've always liked is The Who's "Teenage Wasteland".  Don't the Yankees play that one some?

Rammstein

Du Hast

That was one of the tracks I put on my basketball teams warm up disc. always got me pumped

My freshman year of college I came out to Executioners "its going down"

but some of my teamates over the years used

Hank Williams Jr. (Country boy can survive)

Nelly (batter up)

Disturbed (stupify music only/no lyrics)

Just to name a few, cant remember them all

Good luck

At the KC royals game i cant remember what player it was, but they used to play

Toby Keith's- " I ain't as good as I once was"

I would go with ZZ Top- Sharp dressed man- just play the part that goes " Cus every girls crazy bout' a sharped dressed man"

They play that in between innings or at other random times, but I don't think its anyone's "theme song". Also, not to be a tool, but the song is called "Baba O'Reilly." If you listen to the lyrics, you'd probably think like me that its not a really "happy" song. Its all about the fighting that's been going on in Northern Ireland since, well, forever...

Thanks for the correction.  I don't know what I was thinking.  I was thinking that they used to play it for Paul Oneal (sp?)?

Zara Spook-  Voo-Doo child is Mark Texiera's walk-up song.  That's a pretty good one.

The Yankees did used to play that song for Oneil. I would go with an AC/DC song, all their songs start out really good. That's what I listen to when I work out and go for runs.
