Ahhh, pic or no pic, it will only be a few more weeks up here before they get on it good. Quite possibly my favorite way to bass fish!  :) Thanks for raising the spirits.

hey BM - any plans for a 1/2oz cavitron in the future?

I was going to ask the same thing.

Hey guys!

I have had some great mornings throwing the 3/8 oz Cavitron, black on black. The buzzbait creates a strong bubble trail, comes on plane quickly and produces a unique chirping sound. If you haven't tried one, you need to!

It's going to be a while yet here, but I can't wait to start throwing them

i can't freiken wait.  i love buzzbaits, and right now, they're kinda shying away from them, so i'm having to throw toads, but i'm gonna try 'em again tomarrow, and probably every other day until the bite's back on.

I was going to ask the same thing.

I emailed him about this last year sometime and I believe he stated they didnt see the need for the larger bait.  The 3/8oz bait casted well enough and the point was to get the bait on plane quickly, while still reeling the bait very slowly.  The 1/2oz would require you to move it more quickly....I have the 3/8oz and they do cast quite well and you can reel them painfully slow.

I do prefer 1/2oz baits like you guys though....

I promise you guys -there is no need for a 1/2 oz cavitron. The 3/8 is all you need. It has the same overall size profile as a regular 1/2 oz but the unique stealth design head is cut away for hydrodynamic purposes. It will cast as far as any 1/2 oz.. Believe me also you will not find a better buzzbait on the market. www.cavitronlures.com

My own situation is better suited to a 1/2 oz buzzbait.  If you ever decide to offer it in 1/2 oz, I'd like to try it.

kb here   what do you gauge when to start throwing a buzzbait  is it the water temp  thats when i do but dont know if that is correct i wait till water temp is about  65 deg and higher    and use a jerk bait most of the time when lower than65 deg kb

For me,

Low light, ten casts...It's workin' or it ain't. When you move to another spot, same drill.

I love the topwater bite, but whenever it's working, jerkbaits are a better option!

i have been having good luck with this exact lure recently, which was recommended to me by RW himself.  also, i have been running this thing right through and over lilly pads, it rarely hangs up, pretty awesome bait!!
