Since we are talking about hunting,  any of you guys shoot a wisker biscuit?

I'm leaning that way because I dont shoot a whole lot and I want something simple to adjust and easy to use.  Gman proof. ;D

I'm having a horrible time tuning my old fred flinstone quicktune prong rest.

My brother and 2 of the guys I hunt with have used them.  Depending on your expectations they can be great.  You can't tune them as precise as some other rests but for most bowhunting (20 yds and less) they work great.  IMO, not having to hold the arrow with your finger while napping in your favorite tree would be worth using it.  

I use the WB and like it.  The only issue I have had is that it can be tough on vanes.  They was I was told to avoid this by the archery guy at the shop was to put the **** vane up, not down.

I was considering switching to one this year as well. Reason being there was a six point under my stand last year that I couldnt quite get the right angle to shoot. Every time I would lower the bow, the arrown would start coming off the rest. Told myself that would never happen again.

I am fully confident that I would have shot that buck with a whisker biscuit.

I've had one since they came out, have not went back.

I put one on the wifes bow and will put one on the son's bow when I get it.

My oppinion they are design for Hunting-not sport shooting.

LOL.  SO true.

I'm not worried about super percicion.  If it shoots good at 30 yds its good for me.  I really dont shoot farther then that.  I just want something that doesnt require a bunch of monkeying around.  Simple is what I need.  On the **** vane thats what I was told too.  Shoot it up.  A guy also told me that I needed to shoot a different vane.  Its a dura vane I believe about 2.5" long.  He is going to refletch my arrows all I have to do is buy the vanes.  Looks like I'll have another rest tonight

Gman, absolutly use a whisker bisquit. I love mine. They don't affect your shooting in a noticable enough way to worry about it. Mine shoots great. At 10,20 and 30 yards I am hitting a 50cent piece sized mark every time. Thats on my target in my yard and being ground level now. I will, although, recommend using a release alone with the WB. If you want to use your fingers, thats fine, but, when I went to a release about 10 years ago it improved my shooting 100%. I also use the solid WB and not the V cut one. No problems.

I do shoot a release.  I also just had a loop put on my bow.  First for me.

Nothin against whisker biscuits but I'll take my quicktune drop away any day over a biscuit. No problems with it, and the arrow rarely fall of the only time it does is if you turn the bow upside down practically.

Was going to get a drop away-they were coming out with those as well when I was looking at the WB, I Hunt-I do not trophy hunt (theres a difference in stlye and approach)so when I compared being in the woods The WB proved with out a doubt to be a practicle instrument for my use. Some go the other route which is fine to each his own.

I do not shoot light and fast.

I shoot heavy and hard. So you'll more and likely beat me at a target, and have all tighter groups with a drop away.

I haven't notice that I needed to use a certain vane as well or notch it, my easton arrows with vinly vanes have worked time and time again. I've gotten plenty of does each year. as for a Buck-I've shot a total of Zero with my Bow cause he'd have to be a biggen for me to shoot as a trophy-I don't know if I knew how to handle a deer if I was to keep it as a mount- I knows how to feild dress for meat-Does are much better eaten anyway. ;D

I switched to the Deluxe QS three years ago and have never regretted it.

Only problem is that I can never find the time to get out during bow season anymore.  Darn lake keeps calling me... :-/
