SNOW SNOW SNOW~!

Featured Replies

West Virginia got it's first real measurable snow of the year last night.  We've got about 2 inches here, and the mountain counties have about 4-6 inches.

Not a big deal to you northern guys, but for an area where schools close over an inch of snow, it's a good thing.  Weather's calling for sunny and 60s this weekend though, so there'll be some serious fishing going on as well.

Anyone else around getting any snow?

We got 4-6in of snow in my area of NH sunday/monday. Heavier amounts were reported further north of here in the amounts of 12-18in. I have heard that we are expecting another possible snow storm here on friday. I havent heard any predictions on amounts yet. Not looking forward to winter.

Winter can sometimes be fun if there is enough snow. :) Like 531 inches at Jay Peak a few years back.

At my age this is the best thing about snow on the ground for me:

hey TF, its passing through us now.

It is snowing in Northern Virginia right now however that will not stop me from my quest to land a trophy LMB.  I am going to fish a couple of different lakes this weekend, it is supposed to be in the high 50s.

I hope it is a early spring this year. It has been cold and snowing/ice for weeks and no sun :( Last year in December it was in the 50's and 60's. The snow and cold isn't so bad it is just not seeing the sun that bugs me. I get S.A.D. for sure.

Last year the forecast called for snow during the week. All public schools were closed and "non-essential" personnel were asked to stay home. We missed the blizzard, but some of the counties just north of Memphis received almost an inch of snow!

Man, did we get lucky or what?

Got that right, a few flakes and you'll get someone in front of you driving 15MPH and the guy behind you wanting to do 45MPH ::)

We ended up with one inch of snow and the school district that I work for closed.  I may have to go fishing after my doctors appointment today if the temps rise above freezing .
