Bachelor Party ideas?

Featured Replies

Well as of now I will be getting married June of 09.  I'm not looking to have the usual bachelor party with the usual entertainment.  I'm looking more towards a hunt/fish trip of some kind or just hanging out with the guys doing something fun.  Anyone have an ideas they care to throw out there on possible choices to do?

Go to Washington DC and fish the Potomac river

ABA has a tourney 5/3 should be hot then

Guys usually do the chick thing because it symbolizes your last chance to be that guy.

Let's hope the wife to be  doesn't think this is your last hoorah if you plan a fishing trip!!!

I'm with you though, If I ever get married, the last thing I want is a typical bachelor party.  The nudie clubs are sooooo not my scene.

I don't have any suggestions but I'll roll it around and repost if I come up with something good.

BTW- Congrats and good luck!!

I did two non-trad. bachelor trips in 03/04.  One was a trip to Atlanta for a weekend of Braves games.  The other was a trip to Baltimore for a weekend of Orioles games.

Good thing too since one of those guys has been invisible since tying the knot.   >:(

when my twin brother got married we rented a party bus, packed a cooler full of beer (literally packed it, we couldn't even get the top closed) and drove to a casino and spent most of the night hanging out playing table games and poker.

Congrats dude

My buddy had a tool party where everyone brought him tools.

i had my bachelor party in thailand ;) so im no help to you

Charter a boat and go on a fishing trip, the prices are not that bad.  We were going to go out marlin fishing for my son's bachelor party but I could not get commitments from his friends so we did not do it.

Don't have any great ideas just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS !!!

I agree with LBH just not my scene. I did however have a great time with a bachelor party that went up into the mountains of Maine for a WhiteWater rafting trip/weekend. It was crazy fun during the rafting and hella fun camping out bonfires and drinking good times....

I organized a bachelor party once for a buddy of mine who was a fisherman.  We planned an informal fishing tournament (there was no weigh in, it was just based of length measurements) where those who had a boat would take some who didn't and those who needed a boat were able to rent one.  We fished for about 5 hours and then met back and had a big barbeque.  If was a lot of fun fishing with all these guys I didn't get to see much.  Even a few guys who never really fished had fun.

Last year when my son had his bachelor party he took his friends down to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and went on a charter boat.

Actually two charter boats.

Caught a lot of saltwater fish and had them filed at the dock and then cooked them for dinner.

All the guys caught something and they had a very good time.

They also sat around the house; swam in the pool; played Texas Hold 'Em (I came in third); and went to some bars along the coast.

It was the first time for all but two guys to go on a charter boat.  It was worth every cent.

................Brent, you should offer a registry for rednecks on the site ::) ;D
