Girl Shot Over Potato Chips

Featured Replies

Ok that is a sad situation for everyone. Let me say that I am not a anti-gun type, however, why was the gun left out where a child could get a hold of it? It should have been locked in a gun cabinet. Also, why is it that when a child does something like this the parents want to lay blame on hyperactivity or antention deficient disorder. I am not saying that kids do not have this, it just seems like it is used a scape goat for the lack of parental supervision and discipline.

The boy is getting in trouble right? Like uhhh 20 years in prison right? Oh wait he is just a kid he won't get in trouble >.>

The kid is ultimately the one who done it, but Mom and Dad bear alot the repsonbility for leaving the weapon and ammo so easily accessible.

quote from inbred:

"I know he loves his sister and wants to take care of her"

Thats some tough love.

Ditto to what T/ Stokes said. BAD parenting and negligence on their part. I AM a multiple gun owner and have been for years, even when my kids were young. The guns and/or any ammo I had was always LOCKED in a SAFE. IMO, today's society has become so desensitized to the killing of others via video games and movies that sensationalize killing on a grand scale, that kids THINK it's OK to do so, especially those who may be mentally impared to begin with (something any decent parent SHOULD know and attend to). Just my thoughts.

Oh yeah, and since the bleeding heart libs have all but eliminated the DEATH PENALTY in most states, those who are inclined to commit violent crimes like murder are MORE apt to do it - IMO!!! Facing a DEATH PENALTY is one of the greatest deterants to many of the violentt crimes in this country as far as I'm concerned.

He shot her in the face with a shotgun and she lived, im speechless. Im not sure what to think as far as punishment goes for the kid but i would look into anger management. Thats sad.

8 to 10 years from now maybe less, he will be involved in a mass shooting and problay kill a few people if somebody does not get a handle on his little Azzzzzzz

Spare the rod spoil the child.

When I was a kid their were guns in just about ever room/closet of our house.   My grandfather(GRHS) kept at least 4 to 6 loaded shotguns right behind the front door just in the conner.  Unless we were hunting or cleaneing we never touched them.

They should have a Gun class when you start to school and this would

probably stop some of the senseless killings. 8-)

Tell us what you really think Popeye.

The easy way to stop it is make the parents of youth responsible for the kids actions.

Everyone likes making kids but alot dont like raising them right.  IMO the parents sould take most of the fall on this one.  Why in the world would you leave a gun out so a kid can get ahold of it.

Its all about dicipline and teaching the kid right from wrong. Reward the kid for doing right and punish them for doing wrong.

ROTFLMAO!!! The kid should have known better, never mess with the power of sour cream and onion, or...the consequences may be deadly...
