BooYAH spinnerbaits

Featured Replies

How many of you use booyah spinnerbaits?  I have been using them for the last year or so and I have caught my both my pb LMB and SM with them.  But the last 5 I've bought have been defective or just poorly made, each of the 5 have had the blade fall off after about 25 casts.  I can not figure out why, I've bent the loop that supposedly keeps the swivel and blade in place and it still comes off.  Has anyone else had this problem?  I used strike king and terminator spinnerbaits too, and have never had this happen.

I use booyah spinnerbaits and have never had this happen.  Though I haven't bought a new one in several months.

I use Booyah and war eagle. The booyah with the booyah colorado blade is my big bass spinnerbait. I have not had any troubles with them. Hopefully its just a fluke.

I have 10 or so of these spinnerbaits and never had a problem. 1/2oz white/red colorado blade is my goto spinnerbait.

i havent had a problem with them before. they alloways work good for me...maby try a terminator instead?

This happened to my travel partner about 2 years ago.  I don't think he had made 5 casts with it yet and the blade was gone.  After that I don't even look at them anymore.  Nichols Pulsator for me.

Hmm... I think I will write the company a letter and see what happens.  Maybe I will end up with a few free baits.

Booyah's HD is my favorite spinnerbait, with Mann's Classic running a close second. I did have 2 that had problems, the swivel came apart and lost the large blade. I do not know if Booyah has an official warranty policy. When I used the form below to inquire about the problems, I received 2 new spinnerbaits.

I had that same problem while night fishing with one of their night spinners.  Tieing on a new one at night was not fun.  After that I check the gaps on the wire loops since their quality dept. can't seem to do so.

I've checked the loop I don't even know how many times.  It looked fine everytime, then the blade falls off.  I have even put replacement blades one and they have fallen off.  I just don't get it.

Thanks for the link basspaddler I will have to check into that.

The arms snap pretty easily too, then you lose a fish, the skirt, the blades and the whole shebang  :;)

i almost bought one of these yesterday, saw the price tag and went with a knockoff version for 50 cents.... and i had no problems with it yet....

i dont understand spending alot on single baits when theres no difference in quality of cunstrucing of simaler much cheaper baits...

I bought one today. I'll see how it goes.

I personally prefer Terminators, mainly in double willow

It might be that the eye is opening up under the pressure of the spinning blade.  Mine was visibly open so maybe mine bent open under the pressure.

From experience, depending on who and where you buy steel from, the qualities can vary wildly from batch to batch.

All you need is a decent arm and swivel. The skirts and blade cofigurations can be easily modified. I rarely use the blade styles that are storebought anyway

i personally like the terminater super stainless series spinner baits...
